Short version
PayCheck is a privacy-first Android app for personal finance tracking. Your financial data stays on your device: we do not send transactions, amounts, accounts, categories, goals, notes or financial analytics to our servers.
This policy explains which technical data may be processed for PayCheck: accounts, Premium, ads, support, the beta program and PayCheck pages on vados.dev. The general vados.dev website policy is at /en/privacy-policy.
Privacy contact
PayCheck is maintained by independent Ukrainian developer Vadym. For privacy or data questions, contact [email protected].
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the PayCheck Android app, the PayCheck beta version, PayCheck pages on vados.dev, beta program pages, related APIs, feedback forms, bug reports and support communication.
This policy does not replace the general vados.dev website policy or third-party privacy policies, such as Google Play, Google AdMob, Supabase, Resend, or services you choose to use for storing or sharing files.
Financial data stored locally
PayCheck may store the following locally on your device: transactions, amounts, accounts, categories, goals, notes, financial analytics, display settings, local export/import files and local backup files.
We do not have access to this data and do not synchronize your financial history with our server. This data may leave your device only if you export it, create a backup, send a file through a third-party service, or explicitly include financial information in a support request or bug report.
App technical data, account and Premium
If you sign in, join the beta program or use Premium, we may process technical and account data: Supabase user id, email, username, name or display name, avatar URL, language, currency, theme, technical settings, Premium status and subscription expiration. For Premium through Google Play, this may also include technical purchase metadata, such as purchase token and product id, provided by Google Play to confirm and synchronize Premium access.
This data is used for sign-in, account security, Premium access, user support and beta program administration. It does not contain your local financial history or payment details.
Data the app receives from vados.dev
The app may contact vados.dev to receive public or technical data: exchange rates, posts/news, beta status, APK metadata, account settings or support responses. These requests may create server logs containing IP address, User-Agent, timestamp and request path.
These requests do not transmit your local transactions, amounts, accounts, categories, goals, notes or financial analytics to us.
Export, import and backups
Manual export/import and Premium scheduled local backups are user-controlled local operations. If you choose to save an export or backup to cloud storage, a messenger, email, file manager or another service, that file is handled by the service you choose.
Premium scheduled local backup is created on your device or in the local storage location you choose. It does not mean hidden upload of financial data to cloud storage or to our server.
Google AdMob advertising
The Free version of PayCheck may show ads through Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google and its advertising partners may process advertising ID, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, ad interaction data, diagnostics and other technical data for ad delivery, fraud prevention, measurement and, depending on your settings and consent, ad personalization.
We do not send your transactions, amounts, accounts, categories, goals, notes or financial analytics to AdMob and do not use financial history for advertising.
Google Play payments and subscriptions
Premium is subscribed to and paid for through Google Play Billing. Google Play processes payment data, taxes, payment methods, cancellations and renewals. We do not receive your full card number or bank details.
If you subscribe to Premium, the app may receive technical purchase data from Google Play, such as purchase token, product id, subscription status, expiration date and related user id. This is used only to confirm Premium access in the app after sign-in or reinstall.
Beta program, support and bug reports
In the beta program and support flows, we may process email, username, name, application status, selected testing directions, IP address, User-Agent, language, approximate country/city based on IP, device information, app version, Android version, messages, replies, bug reports, screenshots, attachments and logs that you submit.
Please do not include full financial data in bug reports or support requests unless it is necessary to resolve the issue. If you do include such data, we process it only for support and bug fixing.
Data from PayCheck pages on vados.dev
When you visit PayCheck or beta program pages on vados.dev, we may process server logs and technical data: IP address, User-Agent, device type, page, referrer, request time, cookie/session data, beta account sign-in data, form data, analytics events and security logs.
PayCheck pages may use PostHog or similar analytics when configured, and our own logs for security, statistics, attack detection and service operation.
Third-party services
PayCheck and related PayCheck pages may use third-party services:
- Google Play Billing — subscriptions, payments, cancellation, renewal and Premium confirmation;
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK — ads in the Free version;
- Supabase Auth/Database — account, beta access, technical settings and Premium status;
- Resend or other email providers — service emails, email confirmation, beta program notices and support;
- PostHog or similar analytics — PayCheck page events and technical analytics when enabled;
- hosting, CDN, domain and infrastructure providers — PayCheck page operation, security and content delivery.
Third-party services may process data under their own privacy policies and terms.
